Ivory Coast star Yaya Toure has boosted Manchester City by announcing that he wants to finish his career with the Premier League club.
Toure looked set to quit the Premier League champions after slamming City bosses for disrespecting him during his birthday celebration just hours after helping them win the title.
A month later, the midfielder accused the stunned club officials of not giving him enough support or allowing him time to see his brother Ibrahim, who died during the Ivory Coast's World Cup campaign, The Mirror reported.
But now Toure is focused on the new campaign and has said that he wants to stay with Manuel Pellegrini's side for as long as possible.
Toure said that he is feeling fine, and that it is good to start training again. He added that it has been a difficult pre-season.
Toure said that it had unfortunately been a difficult summer for his family.
The midfielder added that now he is very happy to join the team and the manager. He said that at the end of the day it is his decision and he will stay at City for as long as possible. (ANI )
