The Royal Wedding of the Century steals the thunder from Alabama and even stormy Mid-East

THAT kiss on the balcony. This, and the repeat kiss, was the talk of the day 29th April 2011
wtf is that on her head?!
The hats seen in the congregation put up a good challenge to THAT dress in terms of mentions in the extensive coverage.
"here is my little input on the royal wedding. it was cute, she was gorgeous, loved the dress, blah blah blah, but the real show stoppers were the definite WTF 'hats' (i say hats loosely)"

Strange News Day: Death and Destruction, Weddings and New Starts
Though the Royal Wedding of the century was bound to out-do all possible threats to its spotlight- neither Mid-East revolutions nor vicious storms striking the South (USA) could steal the 'thunder' from this big day.. But storms in Alabama gave it a run for its money:
"What a strange news day it’s been today. I was a tad out of touch with it, but am poking around now to find odd goings on. For those who aren’t aware, terrible tornado-generating storms heavily hit much of the American South and East. My home state, Alabama, seems to have borne the brunt of it. While my family was, thankfully uninjured and relatively unscathed, many were not. Please pray with me for them. "
