ADPC welcomes first ever shipment of soya bean meal into Mina Zayed

Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) and Agthia Group’s Agri Business Division, Grand Mills, have welcomed the first ever shipment of ‘soya bean meal’ into Abu Dhabi, through Mina Zayed. Grand Mills has chosen to ship the bulk material directly into the UAE capital rather than relying on road transport from other ports.

The first shipment of 11,000 metric tonnes of soya bean meal arrived today on the vessel “MV Tarsus”. A total of 55,000 metric tonnes is scheduled for import on an annual basis. Soya bean meal is the main raw component used in animal feed.

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi’s NBAD Sukuk Income Fund will pay to its investors a semi-annual distribution equal to 1.98% of the unit NAV of 5.3286 US$, being the NAV as at 30 May 2013. Accordingly, each unit in the Fund will receive a dividend pay-out of 0.10569 US$.

The Fund earned interest equivalent to 632029.02 US$ since 29 November 2012 till 30 May.

Demand for Etihad Airways’ flights new Sao Paulo flights continues to grow as air travellers take advantage of the airline’s world class service and product, and flight connections from its Abu Dhabi hub, James Hogan, President and Chief Executive Officer said today.

The national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) launched its non-stop three flights per week service between Sao Paulo, its first destination in South America, and Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s capital, on 1 June.
