SouqExtra! is set to spread the community spirit online with customers invited to follow the national chain of community supercentres on Facebook, Twitter and You Tube.
With its pioneering community-centric retail model – which provides an outlet mix tailored to serve the needs of the residential community in which it is based – SouqExtra!’s online presence is expected to further the promise expressed through its “My Favourite Place” tagline.
“Our aim is to create a virtual SouqExtra! community and share the latest information on community based activities such as new services, offers, bazaars and family gathering events, so that residents can take advantage of opportunities to socialise with their local communities,” says Saleh Abdullah Lootah, Managing Director of SouqExtra!.
“We intend to utilize the multimedia and social networking capabilities of these mediums to the max to involve the community residents to know, share and participate effectively and encourage community sprite. In addition, these channels will also help retailers to inform customers about great deals, special offers and sales available at various outlets in a cost effective and timely manner,” added Lootah.

SouqExtra! currently has two outlets in the UAE – in Dubai, at Ewan Residences and in Al Ain, at Al Bateen. SouqExtra! plans on opening new outlets in the coming months in Fujairah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah in addition to a second outlet in Dubai.
