Adnan Januzaj to become Man Utd's latest contract rebel?!
Belgium is currently experiencing its best period in world football with several high profile players coming to the fore in recent years. The likes of Eden Hazard, Christian Benteke, and Romelu Lukaku are at the forefront of this Golden generation. Manchester United may have recently secured one amongst this Golden generation in the form of Marouane Fellaini, but they could lose one of their own in the near future.
Adnan Januzaj has emerged as one of the bright young prospects from Manchester United's youth academy, which has produced several stars over the years. United are thought to believe that the 18-year-old is destined for greatness if he continues his incredible progress. The Belgian striker recently made his Premier League debut in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. However, he is on the verge of leaving United with several clubs interested in him.
His contract runs out at the end of the season and there has been no progress in the attempts to tie him on to a new deal.
The way United lost Paul Pogba to Juventus on a free transfer will still be in the memory of many United fans. Pogba has become one of the best young midfielders in Europe, and Sir Alex Ferguson will still be wondering if United could have done a little better in order to keep him.
It looks like the same fate could befall on Januzaj as well. The news gets even worse for United fans, as Daily Mail reports that Manchester City are looking to seize the youngster on a free transfer. Contract talks have been going on since April and it is unlikely that playing time will be a stumbling block towards reaching a deal. It is likely that wages could be the problem.
David Moyes, though, remains confident that Januzaj will sign a new contract.
