AIRTEL Tanzania has announced a partnership deal with English Premier League champions Manchester United that will see the telecom firm's customers win all expenses paid trips to watch the club's matches live at Old Trafford stadium.

The announcement was made during the launch of the firm's promotion dubbed 'Mimi Ni Bingwa' (I'm the champion) that seeks to reward its customers with over 500m/- worth prizes.

Speaking during a press conference to announce the partnership in Dar es Salaam, the Airtel Tanzania Managing Director Sunil Colaso said the partnership underlines the company's commitment to partner with major global brand and bring them close to its customers.

"Airtel Tanzania today announces this big partnership that is set to give our loyal and passionate customers new experience to watch Manchester United matches live at Old Trafford. We are happy to partner with Manchester United one of the big clubs in football history.

"Our customers should prepare themselves to take advantage of this unique opportunity that is set to give them a new football viewer experience," he added.

He said Airtel Tanzania has played a pivotal role in the country's sports development and this can be proved by our 'Rising Stars' that has become a household name not only in Tanzania but Africa as a whole.

"I believe our partnership with Manchester United will now greatly complement our on-going football and sports programmes and initiatives since the English Premier League (EPL) are one of the top professional leagues in the world." he added.

The Manchester United Relationship Manager Michael Higham during the event said his club's partnerships with Airtel Tanzania will set to increase the club's presence in Tanzania.

"We are happy to launch this new partnership and we believe this will be a brilliant platform to connect with the club's audience here in Tanzania," he said.
