The Algerian football team will play two friendly matches on January 7th and 10th, 2017 before taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN-2017), which is set to start on January 14th, in Gabon, Said the Algerian Federation (FAF).

The Federation, however, did not give details on the opponent and the venue that will host the two matches.

On Friday, the Mauritanian Football Federation announced that its national team would face the Desert Foxes on 7 and 10 January in the Mustapha- Tchaker stadium in Blida.

Moreover, the FAF unveiled Saturday, after the federal office meeting, the team preparation program for CAN-2017.

A training camp for 5 goalkeepers will take place at the National Technical Center of Sidi Moussa (Algiers) from 10 to 13 December 2016.

The national team preparation will take place from 2 to 12 January 2017. Then the Desert Foxes will fly for Franceville which will host Algeria matches namely against Zimbabwe, Tunisia and Senegal in Group B.
