Arsenal announce Ramsey's return for Everton clash
Arsenal face Everton this weekend at Goodison Park in a match that will have all sorts of effects on the way the table lies at the end of the season. Though the Gunners currently sit four points clear of the Liverpool based side, the Toffees have played one game less than the Gunners and could leapfrog Arsene Wenger's men if they are able to earn three points this weekend and win that game in hand.
Arsene Wenger announced yesterday, however, that his side would be given a boost with the return of Welsh international Aaron Ramsey. The Arsenal midfielder started off the season in incredible form, scoring and creating goals at will, but has been sidelined by injury since the new year. With injuries piling up in Arsenal's midfield, the return of Ramsey will be a welcome one as the Gunners look to finish out the season in the top four.
Speaking about Ramsey's return, Wenger said, “[When you’re out for] three months, then it takes two or three weeks. He has worked very hard for a while in training now. What he lacks is competition.
“He's an all-round midfielder who can score goals and always drives the team forward. He's a real box-to-box player so it's good to have him back.
“It's an area where we are short because we have many midfielders out. We have Wilshere and Ozil out in this area, so of course it's good to have him back.”
