Balotelli's future with Man City under further doubt
Mario Balotelli's future with Manchester City came under further doubt after the striker blotted his copybook three more times in the eyes of manager Roberto Mancini during their 3-0 win over Sunderland on Saturday.
According to the Daily Express, firstly, Balotelli simply did not work hard or play well enough to deserve to stay on the pitch for longer than 55 minutes.
Secondly, Balotelli showed his discontentment at being replaced by Sergio Aguero by trudging straight down the tunnel to the dressing room, failing to observe the accepted protocol for substituted players to take their seat in the dugout, it added.
Thirdly, Balotelli apparently left the stadium just 15 minutes after the final whistle, instead of staying for the normal medical checks conducted on players who are leaving for international duty, it said.
The latest bust-up follows only three weeks after Balotelli upset Mancini by having a late night out just a couple of days before the Champions League game against Real Madrid, where he was left to stew in the Bernabeu stands, it further added.
The paper further reported that it is likely Mancini will hit him in the pocket for these misdemeanors but fines and rollickings do not seem to have any effect.
If the manager's patience runs out then there will be no shortage of takers. He revealed last summer that City had rejected interest from the two Milan clubs, Juventus and Paris St Germain following Balotelli's impressive Euro 2012 performances, it concluded. (ANI)
