Benzema believes Mourinho should stay at Real Madrid
Karim Benzema believes that it would be in the best interest of all parties involved if coach Jose Mourinho stayed at Real Madrid beyond the 2012-13 campaign.
A number of recent reports have suggested that the Portuguese coach could say farewell to los Blancos at the end of the season but the Frenchman hopes that the ex-Chelsea boss will stay put.
"Mourinho has given me a lot ever since he arrived at the club. Personally, I want him to stay at Madrid. That would be the best for everybody involved," Benzema told reporters.
The France international then went on to discuss Madrid's possible opponents in the Champions League round of 16 and made it clear that he would like to take on Ligue 1 big-spenders Paris Saint-Germain.
"Every team that is left in the competition will be a tough opponent and if we want to do anything in the competition then we have to beat whoever we draw," the striker added, "but I would like PSG because they are a French team."
The draw for the first knockout stage takes place in Nyon on December 20.
