PSG midfielder Cabaye calls for Chelsea star Hazard to move to Paris
Chelsea starlet Eden Hazard has had a career year and it is still far from over. The young Belgium rose to recognition while on the Ligue 1 pitch for French side Lille OSC, but he has blossomed into a World Class talent in front of the Barclay's Premier League fans for Chelsea this season.
Leading the London side in both goals and assists in the league with 14 and seven respectively, Hazard has become the Blues talisman this campaign and has skyrocketed his value across the European stage.
Reports from Metro claim that former Newcastle United midfield sensation and January transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, Yohan Cabaye, is issuing a come to Paris plea to the young Belgian international.
People forget that the two played together for several campaigns with Lille together in France and their relationship was one that helped the French side to domestic double of the Ligue 1 title and Coupe de France in 2010-11.
When asked in an interview whom he would bring to PSG if he were the Athletic Director, Cabaye responded the only way he honestly knew how:
‘Who would I recruit if I was athletic director? Hazard is a player I would like to see at PSG.
It would do so much good in Paris and for the championship. He is one of the best players I’ve played against.’
Cabaye went on to confirm what many have come to realize this season, that Chelsea are now relying on Hazard to bring them through more times than not and he has become an example that the fans and other players in the league refer to as what a Chelsea player should be:
‘Eden Hazard is the Chelsea player. He can make the difference at any time, can be dangerous every time he touches the ball.’
There is no doubt that Chelsea would demand an exorbitant amount of money for Hazard, but to be honest no matter what the papers say, Jose Mourinho is expected to keep a tight grip on Hazard for the foreseeable future.
