Rafael Benitez has insisted the Chelsea team will be professional on Sunday, as Mark Clattenburg officiates at Stamford Bridge for the first time since the controversial match against Manchester United in October when Ramires alleged the referee had racially abused Jon Obi Mikel.

Clattenburg was later proved innocent by the FA and the police consequently dropped the investigation, but Mikel was fined £60,000 and banned for three games for threatening the referee amid acrimonious scenes after the match, which Chelsea lost 3-2 and finished with nine men after Branislav Ivanovic and Fernando Torres were sent off.

Despite this, Benitez is expecting the two players will shake hands with Clattenburg on Sunday ahead of the clash against Swansea.

He told reporters: "They are fine, I think they will shake his hand, I don’t see any problem."

Benitez, who is expected to start both players, added: "They are professionals and they know their job. Hopefully everyone will forget and we just concentrate on the football."
