Oman captain and English Championship side Reading goalkeeper Ali al Habsi has made it to the Championship team of the season announced by popular website, WhoScored.com, based on the allround ratings for the campaign so far.

A delighted Habsi told Muscat Daily on Tuesday that he was 'happy to be part of the Championship team of the season'.

“It is nice to be included in the team. I hope to continue with my good run till the end of the season, and hopefully, Reading can make it to the English Premier League,” said Habsi.
Habsi (7.04) along with his Reading teammate,Yann Kermorgant, (7.28) are part of the 11 players with average ratings of 7.4 and 7.28, respectively, out of ten, as decided by experts at the statistics website.
