FA consider bigger ban for Terry in Ferdinand racial abuse case

The Football Association (FA) might look to increase the four games ban given to former England captain John Terry for racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand during a match last year.
The FA has appealed against the decision of last week's Independent Commission in exactly the same way as the Chelsea skipper can challenge the findings.
"We act as the prosecution in these cases and if we do not agree with the Commission's findings we have the right to appeal just like the defendant," the Sun quoted a FA source, as saying.
"Admittedly it is something that is done very rarely but it is an option open to us," he added.
Both the FA and Terry are currently waiting for the Commission's written report of the four-day hearing and the reasons behind the former England captain's four-match ban and 220,000 pounds fine. (ANI)
