Man City v Chelsea: Projected lineups
Manchester City v Chelsea: Projected lineups as City look for revenge in FA Cup tie
Manchester City is set to host Chelsea for the second time in the last few weeks at the Etihad. After falling to the Blues in the English Premier League in a 0-1 home loss, the Citizens are expected to field a strong side to do their best at avoiding a second successive defeat at the hands of the London side.
With both City and Chelsea still in the hunt for a quadruple and treble in their own respects, neither side will want to drop out of the FA Cup.
Some will predict that both sides will field weaker versions of the two that faced off just weeks ago, but it is likely to be a battle on a level above what was last seen with the hosts out to avenge their home defeat and their current run of scoreless form.
The loss of Fernandinho has only compounded the problems of missing Sergio Aguero at Manchester City and the Citizens have to figure out a way to get back to winning ways and fast.
Chelsea on the other hand have lost their defensive heart with both John Terry and now Gary Cahill having succumbed to injury which is likely to force David Luiz and Branislav Ivanovic into a rare partnership and see Ashley Cole return to his duties at leftback.
Needless to say it is certain to be an interesting match if there was one and highlights the Saturday action in the FA Cup.
