Ferguson ready for Real Madrid after 4-0 win over Norwich
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to focus his entire attention on the upcoming epic Champions League showdown with Spanish giant Real Madrid at Old Trafford on Tuesday after inflicting a four nil defeat on Norwich City on March 2, which reinforced Manchester United's grip on the Premier League title race.
Re-opening a 15 point-lead over rivals Manchester City, United swept away Norwich with a hat-trick by Shinji Kagawa and two nimble assists from Wayne Rooney, who completed the rout with a majestic finish, the Telegraph reports.
According to Ferguson, his players were successful as they worked hard with determination, showed a good spirit in the game, and did not worry about their upcoming showdown with Madrid, which contributed a lot to their performance in the game.
Praising Kagawa, who became the first Asian player to score a Premier League hat-trick, the United boss said that the player showed intelligence and composedness while delivering goals, which, he added, were well-executed.
Ferguson also said that although Rooney hit a different plane in the final 15 minutes of the game, he worked hard and scored a goal which also contributed to cementing United's place in the Premier League top rungs. (ANI)
