Alonso not ruling out exit from Ferrari
Double Formula One champion Fernando Alonso has refused to rule out leaving Ferrari before the end of his contract, which runs until 2016.
According to the BBC, McLaren wants Alonso to lead their team into their new engine partnership with Honda from 2015.
Alonso has only restricted himself to saying that he willl do his best for Ferrari.
However, the 33-year-old's future at Ferrari is the subject of intense speculation on the Formula 1 circuit.
Ferrari is in the midst of restructuring their team in an attempt to bring it back to the front after their least competitive season for 20 years.
There are signs that tension has grown between them and lead driver Alonso, who has finished second in the championship in three of the four seasons he has been at the team.
Alonso has also reportedly grown frustrated at Ferrari's inability to provide him with a competitive car in that period, during which time the team have slid further behind the pace of the leading teams.
