France Football: Three Tunisians feature in Maghreb dream team 2015
Three Tunisian international players, Aymen Mathlouthi, Aymen Abdennour and Wahbi Khazri, have featured in the 2015 Maghreb dream team selected Friday by France Football magazine.
Aymen Mathlouthi was decisive in ES Sahel’s win of the CAF Cup in 2015 and his performance was steady with the Tunisian team who are second with Liberia at the AFCON 2017 qualifiers behind Togo and have qualified for the group stage of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Aymen Abdennour was very successful with AS Monaco in 2015 by reaching with his team the quarter-finals of the Champions League before his transfer to FC Valence.
His performances earned him to be elected best Tunisian football player in 2015 by TAP best athlete poll.
Wahbi Khazri stood out as one of the key players of Girondins de Bordeaux. The Tunisian playmaker is still brilliant with his new club where he is showing top form.
He has scored 9 goals and has 4 assists in his first year with Girondins de Bordeaux in2014-2015.
The 24-year-old Tunisian player is considered by France Football as one of the best players in the French League and a key player in the Tunisian team with whom he played most of the qualifying games of the AFCON 2017 and the preliminary rounds of the 2018 World Cup.
Wahbi Khazri has been recently linked with moves to Aston Villa but also to Everton, Sunderland and Swansea.
Besides the three Tunisian players, the Maghreb dream team 2015 include four Algerians Ghoulam, Brahimi, Mahrez and Slimani and four Moroccans Foued Chafik, Mehdi Benatia, Issam El Adoua and Hakim Ziyech
