Fulham v Liverpool: Projected lineups
Fulham shocked the world of English Premier League followers this weekend with their draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Cottagers struck early through the combination of Lewis Holtby and Steve Sidwell. From there on it was an exercise in crossing futility from United as it took them 78 minutes to find the back of the net and two minutes to take the lead at 2-1.
However, the visitors would have the last laugh as they drew level through Darren Bent in the fourth minute of stoppage time to reclaim what was a hard earned but deserved point.
Rene Meulensteen will be looking to take some positives from the trip to United as they turn around to face a Liverpool side that are lethal when on their game and after thrashing Arsenal at the weekend they will be looking to climb within four points of top of the table, Chelsea with a win in London.
Liverpool will be riding high after their impressive Saturday morning display and will look to get back in the fight for the title race after their gain this weekend and so far potential gain this midweek has been in the wake of a poor run for their title race competition.
Once again the Reds are likely to name the same first eleven as Brendan Rodgers will not want to disrupt the current top form his side are displaying. Raheem Sterling has been coming of age as his blistering pace and energy is finally starting to be mixed with a more mature touch and finish.
Luis Suarez was excellent on the weekend despite unluckily not scoring twice and he will look to get back on the score sheet and test Maarten Stekelenburg early and often.
