Giggs believes Man Utd's Cup defeat to Chelsea will prove beneficial for future stars
Giggs reckons United's League Cup defeat by Chelsea will prove beneficial in long run
Despite United crashing out of the Capital One Cup 5-4 in extra time despite leading three times at Stamford Bridge, veteran star Giggs is convinced it could prove to be a good thing in the long run.
"It's tough to take. When you score four goals away from home more often than not you win the game, but it just seems to be one of those weeks in the cup," the Daily Star quoted Giggs, as saying.
"We had the game in the bag with seconds to go. We had the ball deep in their half, lost it and they went up the other end and got the penalty," he added.
He insisted the setback will toughen them up and make them better players for the future.
"They will have learnt a lot and you learn more from losing as well. You try and take the positives. There are a lot of disappointed lads and rightly so, because they put in good performances," he said.
"But they'll learn from it and the experience they'll gain is more than they could ever get from a reserve game," he added. (ANI)
