Giggs proud to captain Team GB
Team Great Britain's medal hopes were crushed when Daniel Sturridge's penalty, Britain's fifth, was saved. Korea's Ki Sung-Yueng kept his cool to send his team through.
Giggs said: "I will look back on it with great pride. To captain the Great Britain side has been a privilege," said the Manchester United star, after his side's quarter-final penalty shoot-out defeat by South Korea in Cardiff.
"Obviously it is disappointing to have lost like we did, but the overall experience is nothing but positive," The Sun quoted him, as saying.
"I would want players to experience what I have experienced - the whole Olympic attitude and coming up against good, organised teams. It can only be good for our players' development and experience," he said.
Talking about the match, Giggs said: "We weren't good enough. Saying that, we were unbeaten and anyone can lose on penalties. We are disappointed not to go through." (ANI)
