Liverpool v Tottenham: Predicted lineups
Every Liverpool fan in the world rejoiced on Saturday as Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all managed to drop points and allow the Reds another open door opportunity to make the most of their game on Sunday.
With just a draw against Spurs the Reds can top the English Premier League once more and with a win would move two points clear at the top with chief competition for the title in Chelsea and City both still having to travel to Anfield in the coming month.
Manager Brendan Rodgers is unlikely to make much of a change from his side that has won their last two outings in a run of now seven straight in the Premier League. Again the only question will be if Rodgers goes, Raheem Sterling or Philippe Coutinho in the role behind Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez.
Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood did his level best to throw all the weight onto the backs of Liverpool as Spurs know that their main concern in maintaining sixth and earning a place in the UEFA Europa League because top four is out of the question in most cases at this point.
Kyle Walker remains out and both Michael Dawson and Emmanuel Adebayor are listed as doubtful. With the amount of potency that Christian Eriksen and Roberto Soldado have created together lately, Adebayor may not be missed.
The Reds will have to be careful as the Tottenham under Sherwood that is coming to Anfield is not the same side in terms of mentality that they thumped 0-5 at White Hart Lane earlier this season.
