London 2012: Algeria's Makhloufi wins Olympic 1500 gold

Algeria's Toufik Makhloufi wins gold medal

Taoufik Makhloufi of Algeria won the Olympic gold medal Tuesday in the men's 1,500-meter run.

Leonel Manzano of the United States took the silver and the bronze went to Abdalaati Iguider of Morocco.

American Matthew Centrowitz missed out on a medal by 0.04 of a second, finishing fourth behind Iguider.
