Man City's Kolarov chased by Serie A clubs
Manchester City and Serbia full-back Aleksandar Kolarov is being chased by Italian giants Juventus and Napoli as well as his former manager's team, Galatasaray. The Serbian has had an excellent season so far with recent League Cup champions Manchester City and will be hoping to finish the season with many more trophies to his name.
Currently his contract expires at the end of the season but there has been speculation of a possible extension to his time in Manchester, if his impressive form continues.
According to Goal.com, Juventus had already had talks with Man City last season about a possible loan move for Kolarov but negotiations fell short for the Italian club. Napoli, too, are also meant to be huge admirers of the left-back, who arrived at City from Lazio in 2010, and had apparently already enquired about his availability back in December but City were reluctant to deprive themselves of his services.
Strangely, Kolarov stayed in Manchester amidst all the speculation, something that seemed very odd considering he made noises about a return to Serie A a while back. Turkish giants Galatasaray, led by his former boss Roberto Mancini, are also keeping an eye on the City left back. Will the two be reunited once again?
Manchester City won't be letting the Serb go all to easily mind, he has been an integral part of their team this season and attackingly has been wonderful for them. His low, driven crosses- a speciality of his- have featured in many of Manchester City's goals this season. His deadly set-pieces are also another reason why he's such an attractive prospect for the teams chasing his signature. Only time will tell weather the Serbian international has a future in Manchester.
