Man Utd v Fulham: Projected lineups
Manchester United sit ten points adrift of the top four as the Red Devil faithful continue to wonder just what has happened to their side this season. Some will blame David Moyes, others the players but there is enough blame to go around for both sides as the defending Champions are a shadow of the side they were under Sir Alex Ferguson.
The one bright spot for the home side is that Juan Mata has two assists in two matches and will be looking to help facilitate what is hoped to be their third home win in a row. With the Red Devils trading wins and losses in their last six matches, there is no more room for dropped points.
Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie's partnership also seems to be a bit off and the inclusion of Mata, "to the rescue," could be the key to finally bringing the two formerly formidable partners back to the same page.
Fulham on the other hand have a host of new players to still get on the same page. Clint Dempsey has only been back for a short period of time and just when he was getting used to his new again teammates, he is provided with multiple changes and the arrival of William Kvist, Lewis Holtby and Kostas Mitroglou.
There is plenty of talent in the Fulham side to sneak up on United and earn a result but there has not been a lot to be cheerful about for the Cottagers lately with them on a four game losing streak.
Manager Rene Meulensteen may have been receiving advice from Sir Alex Ferguson, but it is about to come to fruition if any of it has taken effect when he faces Fergie's old side in a must win match to see them try to get a start back in the right direction and away from impending relegation.
