Man Utd's Kagawa linked with return to Germany
When he arrived at Old Trafford, former Borussia Dortmund midfield starlet Shinji Kagawa was thought to be the club's answers to a long term replacement for aging stars Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes as a new midfield creative influence.
However, since the move took place, the Japanese international has not been quite as great as what was expected of him.
During his time at Dortmund Kagawa made 71 appearances scoring 29 goals. Since moving to United only 31 times has he made it onto the pitch scoring six goals.
While Sir Alex Ferguson seemed to have more faith in the 24-year-old, new manager David Moyes has only seen fit for Kagawa to make five showings since the start of the season.
The recent continued lack of faith in Kagawa has the player linked with a return to Germany.
Reports from the Mirror have linked Wolfsburg with a move for the former Dortmund star.
With the Red Devils expected to make some January changes and with Kagawa hoping for more first team time, this move could start to gather steam as the year continues to head towards the opening of the January transfer window.
