Man Utd want Sporting's William Carvalho in return for Nani loan
Manchester United are looking to send former Sporting Lisbon star Nani back to his old club on loan for the remainder of the campaign as he has never truly found his place at the club for the last few seasons.
Although he was effective a few times for David Moyes since he has taken over for Sir Alex Ferguson, Nani appears to be an expensive anchor on his plans for the future.
With the future in mind, the Red Devils are hoping to see Sporting send highly coveted youngster William Carvalho to Old Trafford in exchange for the services of Nani for the remainder of the season according to Sky Sports.
The young defensive midfielder has been linked to Arsenal on a number of occasions as well as Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
At 21 years of age, Carvalho is starting to carve out his place at Sporting and started with his first goal for the club back in October against rivals FC Porto in what would eventually be a 1-3 loss to the defending Premeira Liga champions.
Manager Leonardo Jardim will be keen to hold onto the young player as one that could be a mainstay for the future at his club, but the allure of United and other big clubs in Europe could see him prized away before too long.
