Mancini claims PL title race still alive despite Man Utd's seven-point lead

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini believes the Premier League title race is still alive despite local rivals Manchester United extending their lead at the top of the table to seven points on the Boxing day.
Mancini's men lost to Sunderland 1-0 whereas on the other hand United beat Newcastle United 4-3 at Old Trafford in a thrilling match.
The Etihad boss believes the seven-point gulf between them and United is not very important for now and wants his players to buckle up.
Mancini said United deserves the seven-point lead and are better than them, but is confident if his players work on their problems then they can fight back.
Mancini also added that his players needed to score more goals and need to be more clinical in front of the goal after creating plethora of opportunities to score throughout this season.
The Italian added that City was scoring two or three goals per match last season and his players need to regain that form or forget about defending their Premier League title . (ANI)
