Arsenal, Man Utd plan move for Bayern's Mandzukic
Arsenal and Manchester United to battle over Bundesliga star
Manchester United already have made one major signing for the season this January, but now David Moyes and the Red Devils front office are believed to be set to flex their financial muscle in regards to landing at least one more big name signing.
Since Bayern Munich announced the summer arrival of Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski, the German side's current leading man in the form of Mario Mandzukic has been placed on the wanted list of multiple big clubs around Europe.
United are believed to be looking at the addition of the Croatian as soon as the coming week and if not now in the summer.
However, Arsenal are also believed to be interested in the 27-year-old and his 35 goals in 65 appearances for Bayern Munich in the last year-and-a-half as the Gunners truly need another high power striker to keep Olivier Giroud on top of his game.
There is no word on just how big of a price tag that the Bavarian side could place on their current line leader, but it will be an interesting final week of the transfer window with Barcelona also now being linked to the striker.
