The Oman Football Association (OFA) has announced two new fixtures as part of their training camp in London in September, as they take on English Premier League (EPL) side Crystal Palace and Reading FC, which were both relegated to the premier league last season.
Oman will be training for one week at Hogwood Park, the home of the Reading FC club – with facilities that are amongst the best in the UK.
The OFA has strong links with Reading FC, which is a partner in the Kickworldwide Outreach Programme in Sohar, while delegates from both countries have visited each other a number of times. Nic Cartwright, Oman Football's Commercial Director, said this would benefit the team in their preparations for the season. "The set up at Reading is amongst the best in the whole country – and Reading have been great partners. We are pleased to be working with them, and they will look after our team well.
"Sports science, nutrition and analysis tools are being made available to the team as well as train in such outstanding facilities," said Cartwright.
On September 7, Oman will take on Reading FC in Majedski Stadium, while the second match will be played on September 10 against Crystal Palace.
