Oman to host Turkmenistan, Jordan, Bahrain in friendlies

National football team coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro confirmed on Saturday that Oman will be playing five international friendlies between August and November.
With the national football team out of competitive action till early next year following Oman's exit in the second round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Lopez Caro has planned out a series of domestic and overseas camp.
While the friendly games against Northern Ireland and Japan had been confirmed earlier, Lopez Caro announced that Oman will host Turkmenistan on August 8 during a camp from July 31-August 9 in Muscat.
Oman is scheduled to play Northern Ireland in an international friendly on August 31 during a camp in Europe from August 17-September 6.
With FIFA days slated for October 3-11 and November 7-15, Oman will host Jordan on October 7 and Bahrain on October 11, followed by a game that will be hosted by Asian heavyweight Japan on November 11.
Lopez Caro has called 26 players for a domestic camp beginning on Sunday. The camp will conclude on July 26.
