PSG win Ligue 1 title
Paris Saint-Germain have been crowned champions of France after a 1-0 triumph over Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday.
Carlo Ancelotti's side have led the table for much of the season, seeing off the challenges of both Olympique de Marseille and Remi Garde's men.
They finished as runners-up last season but have gone one better now thanks to Jeremy Menez's goal at Stade de Gerland.
Last summer's big spending saw them bring former AC Milan pair Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to the French capital and the Swedish striker has led their title charge with 28 league goals.
It is their first Ligue 1 triumph since 1994 and the third in their 43-year history.
Speaking to Canal+ after the match, PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu had this to say: "PSG hadn't won the league in 19 years, we've made history. Hopefully it's the first of many to follow.
"This is a group victory – a massive thanks to all of the guys, we had a great laugh. I hope Carlo Ancelotti will stay with us."
Meanwhile, centre-back Mamadou Sakho has been enjoying the fact that the Parisian side wrapped up the league against Sunday's opponents: "Lyon celebrated a title win against us a few years ago, this is a nice contrast."
Finally, skipper Christophe Jallet was eloquent in his post-match interview: "We all come different backgrounds, but today we celebrate as one."
PSG currently sit seven points ahead of Marseille with two games to spare this season.
