Chelsea won a hectic 3-4 victory at the Stadium of Light against a determined Sunderland side in midweek.
After having gone behind early the Blues fought back to take the lead, but the Black Cats made it interesting to say the least.
With three wins on the bounce, the London side is keeping pace at the top of the league only four points back from Arsenal.
Stoke City have taken four points from their last three matches and Mark Hughes continues to see his influence on the first team week after week.
The side were held to a scoreless draw with Cardiff at the Britannia in midweek and will hope that they can continue to keep their strong home record intact.
Chelsea have won four of the last six meetings between the two with Stoke securing draws in the others.
Stoke have not scored against Chelsea in seven of their last eight meetings and Chelsea have scored three or more goals in their last three wins.
Stoke XI: Begovic; Cameron, Shawcross, Wilson, Muniesa; Walters, Adam, N’Zonzi, Whelan, Arnautovic, Crouch.
Chelsea XI: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Cole; Mikel, Ramires; Schurrle, Mata, Hazard; Torres.
