France looked to be a dominate force in the group stages as they hammered out eight goals and shocked many with their 2-5 thrashing of Switzerland.
Nigeria were lucky to go through as their offense proved it has little to be desired in their opening two matches as a 0-0 draw and a win against an unconvincing Bosnia-Herzegovina were what allowed them to squeak through after a loss to Argentina.
The French should dominate possession as they have for the majority of the tournament against their opponents with Nigeria expected to sit back and rely on speed and the counter attack to be their greatest weapon.
Nigeria have a big and powerful front line in the forms of Emenike and also Shola Ameobi if he is selected to play as well and both Laurent Koscielny and Rafael Varane will have to be strong in the air to help dampen the effect of Nigeria's strong forwards.
France are likely to miss Mamadou Sakho due to injury while Nigeria are without injured Michel Babatunde and are also likely to miss doubtful winger Victor Moses and while defensive star Godfrey Oboabona will be a game time decision.
France Starting XI: Lloris: Debuchy, Varane, Koscielny, Evra; Cabaye, Matuidi, Pogba; Valbuena, Benzema, Griezmann.
Nigeria Starting XI: Enyeama: Ambrose, Omeruo, Oboabona, Oshaniwa; Onazi, Mikel; Odemwingie, Azeez, Musa; Emenike.
