Wael Kfoury returns to ‘Rotana’
Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury is scheduled to sign a contract with the production company ‘Rotana’ in the upcoming days.
The contract will mark the singer’s return to the company after having left it three years ago. Previously, the singer had left ‘Rotana’ due to the fact that he felt mistreated by the company and wasn’t paid his deserved wages.
When the singer had left the company, his remarks had angered its directing manager Salim Al Hindi, who placed Wael on the black list. A year ago, Lebanese singer Elissa, who is a very close friend to Wael, had brought Wael and Salem together at her birthday party and made them resolve their differences.
On a different note, Wael has turned down his nomination for portraying the role of the late Egyptian actor Rushdi Abadha in the television drama “the Don Juan”.
The singer was nominated by the drama’s director Asad Fodlakar. Asad had wanted Wael for the role due to the strong resemblance between him and Rushdi in terms of outer appearance and charisma, adding that Wael enjoys a unique and magical attraction. Wael had turned down the role in fear of taking part in such a huge project as his first acting experience and not succeeding.
