After March reports by British daily the Guardian that Daesh leader al-Baghdadi had been critically wounded in a US airstrike in Iraq, more rumors emerged this week that he had been declared clinically dead by Israeli doctors in the Golan heights.

The Syrian government suffered its third heavy loss this month on Monday, when Nusra Front militants launched a suicide bomb-laden offensive against an army compound in NW Syria.
