In this blog Palordina writes about something that’s different in every country: Parking.
She argues that getting a ticket in some instances is a symbol of social status, while getting a ticket on your widescreen in the UAE is a bit boring and “emotionless.”
She translates one parking warning in Amman as - “No parking, or you’ll get your ass whipped” – which might not be right, and argues for the use of blonde girls in bikini’s as “meter maids” based on an unorthodox project in Australia called “Surfers Paradise.”
Fun, but perhaps not recommended…
