Alessa Industries signs MoU with Eaton-Williams
Alessa Industries, one of the leading integrated industrial groups in Saudi Arabia, today announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Eaton-Williams, a leading British manufacturing company specialising in data centers and server room cooling solutions.
The agreement was signed by Engineer Nawaf Almasoud, President of Alessa Advanced Project Company and Managing Director of Huntair Arabia, and Dimitri Rocchiccioli, CEO of Eaton-Williams, in the presence of Dr. Abdullah Abdul Karim, Managing Director of Alessa Industries, as well as a number of senior officials from both companies. The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Alessa stand on the sidelines of the Big-5 2010 Show.
Dr. Abdullah Abdul Karim said: "Alessa Industries seeks to continuously to develop its operations and introduce premium technology in the field of air-conditioning and refrigeration. The agreement will not only contribute to bringing into Saudi Arabia advanced technology in the data center sector on which a majority of companies and government and private institutions rely, it will also facilitate the growth of manufacturing units in the Kingdom and the distribution of our products throughout the region. This is another milestone for the Alessa group in its ongoing commitment to nationalise industries."
Engineer Nawaf Almasoud said: "We are driving both investments and partnerships to strengthen our presence in the GCC countries and increase our market share to 30 per cent in the next two years to US$150 million. Platforms such as the Big-5 offer us significant business leads into emerging markets that hold high potential for our products."
Dimitri Rocchiccioli said: "The Big-5 is the right forum to reinforce our position as the region's leading manufacturer of air-conditioning and refrigeration products. The exhibition also allows us to share our breakthrough technology with a number of attendees and participants and reinforces Saudi Arabia's position as a centre for technology in the region."
A leading integrated industrial group in Saudi Arabia, Alessa Industries has the highest sales volume of home air-conditioners in the Middle East, and currently enjoys over 28 per cent market share in air-conditioning and refrigeration in Saudi Arabia. The Riyadh-based company is marking its second consecutive participation at Big-5 that has brought together over 2,500 leading companies. The 4-day event that opened on 22 November at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center is featuring companies in the construction, refrigeration and air-conditioning sectors.
