A suicide bomber killed at least 12 people and injured 21 others on Thursday in Iraq's western Anbar province, a senior Iraqi army official and police said. According to Reuters, a restaurant worker in Ramadi said that bodies littered the scene, close to a complex housing provincial government buildings.
The attacker blew up his explosive-packed car outside the gate of a compound housing the governor's office, police headquarters and courts, a security official said.
The latest attack comes weeks ahead of March 7 election.
