As a part of community initiatives, Dubai Airport Freezone has organized a one-day golf tournament for over 72 representatives from different companies in various industries based in the Freezone. The event was held at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club earlier this week.

The invited field of 72 players took part and witnessed an amazing result of the top three teams all finishing tied with 83 points in the team stableford competition. Trophies and prizes were handed to the top team that achieved the highest scores.

Mr. Nasser Al Madani, Assistant Director General of the Freezone stated, "Judging by the turnout of tenants and the success of this event, I would like to announce that this tournament will become an annual fixture."

"We believe that the tournament is an ideal networking and community building exercise," added Al Madani. "We always seek to provide our tenants and partners with leisure times, and leverage the networking opportunities provided at the same time."

He continued, "I would also like to thank the participants for their support and good performance in the tournament as well as the Japanese Business Council for being a key sponsor for the event."

Trophies and prizes were distributed among the winners in which four were given to the winning team. In addition, two awards were handed to players who managed hitting nearest to the pin. There was also an award for the longest drive and cash vouchers given to individual winners while five lucky attendees won spot prizes.
