Police Colonel Salam Ahmed said the Mansour police station received a tip from a lady in her forties. The woman claimed her husband is a high-ranking member of Daesh. The new bride fainted when special security forces stormed the house and broke down the door.
Police quickly realized the first wife was seeking revenge on her husband when they interrogated her.
She has since been arrested for falsely accusing her husband and distracting the Iraqi police from their duties. Her father paid her bail of 50 thousand Iraqi dinars ($43).
