The fast lane to marriage: when a car crash led to wedding bells on the streets of Doha
It was a car-crash wedding for one couple who met after an accident on the streets of Doha, Qatar. The star-crossed pair were  independently stuck in traffic and on their phones in the busy modern capital when the clash happened.

Fatal attraction

As with many happy-ever-after affairs, the meeting began with an argument when the female driver bumped into the male driver’s car from behind. Although neither were looking where they were going, they both blamed each other for the crash.

According to Qatari newspaper, ‘Al Shareq’, the pair’s argument led them to the local police station and when they arrived, the fight was still in full flow. But by the time they were in the interrogation room, the as-yet-unnamed male driver confessed that it was all his fault.

Moved by his gesture, the female driver let the charges (and the lover's quarrel) drop and the couple have never looked back. On their way out of the police station, he proposed and the wedding took place three days later.

No doubt the newlyweds will look where they are going next time and try to wait until after the honeymoon for the next big fight.
