A Jordanian woman, who has worked as an adviser to embattled Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi for two decades, arrived in Amman last week, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Daed Sharab was reportedly detained by Libyan security forces since the start of the revolution in the Arab country, and freed by rebels as they stormed prisons in Tripoli.

Sharab arrived safely in Jordan last week after she was provided with the required documents to fly back to Jordan, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mohammad Kayed told The Jordan Times on Saturday.

Jordanian officials met her in Tunisia and provided her with the necessary official documents to fly back to Jordan, said Kayed.
