A computer-generated flaming lion has wowed football fans by walking on top of a new stadium and jumping onto the turf after releasing an impressive roar.
Top-flight Argentinian club Estudiantes La Plata celebrated the completion of their new Jorge Luis Hirschi Stadium.
Festivities for the finished 11-year construction project spanned Saturday and Sunday this past weekend in La Plata located in the Buenos Aires province.
Thousands of fans enjoyed a performance by rock band 'Los Autenticos Decadentes', a friendly match between former players and legends, before they were surprised with fireworks and a giant computer-generated flaming lion.
In the video, the giant computer-generated lion walks on top of the stands of the stadium moments before it turns to give an imposing roar as it looks up.
The lion is later seen jumping onto the pitch as patches of turf erupt into 'flames' where the lion's feet touched the grass.

'It is a dream come true, but this is not the destination, this is a starting point for more joys to come.
