A Swiss man, 32, had taken hallucinogens with his girlfriend at the park Friday.

A 32-year-old man who took LSD during a trip to Disneyland Paris before jumping naked into a lake and walking for a mile, sparked a 130-strong manhunt last week.

The unnamed Swiss tourist took hallucinogens with his girlfriend at the resort before plunging into the water near Captain Hook's pirate ship on Friday evening.

The 30-year-old woman, unable to find her boyfriend and with the theme park shutting up for the night, alerted authorities.

Thirty firefighters, ten divers, 80 staff members, sniffer dogs and a gendarmerie helicopter equipped with a thermal scope were deployed in the search.

But it was to be a local Chessy resident who discovered the doped up tourist, wandering aimlessly around a mile from the resort, contrary to reports that he was found on the banks of the lake.

'He was walking in the middle of the road. He did not have a centimetre of cloth on him and he walked barefoot,' the local called Benoit told Le Parisien. 'I stopped, got out of the car and went to meet him. I wanted to know what a naked man was doing 300 metres from my house.'

Benoit said he spoke to the Swiss in English, believing he was a German Swiss, but found the man was unable to remember anything.

The saviour told the French paper the man had scratches across his legs and arms and claimed to have made a bet with his friends to take the drugs.

After dashing to get the Swiss a pair of shorts, Benoit said he drove him to the Disney Village cinema at around 1.15am.

The authorities arrested the Swiss couple and both were charged with drug use before being released on Saturday.

Benoit told Le Parisien it wasn't until his wife showed him the story that they were able to connect the man he had found to the Disneyland incident.
