Are you ready to be part of the next generation of engineers, technicians and craftsmen? That is the question EMAL is asking as it prepares to participate in the region’s largest recruitment fair, Careers UAE 2011.

EMAL President and CEO, Saeed Fadhel Al Mazrooei is posing the question and inviting interested individuals to come to the fair and talk to EMAL representatives about highly skilled and rewarding career opportunities. Al Mazrooei, said: “We want to recruit the next generation of talent to ensure a successful future for both EMAL and our country’s Emiratisation and diversification efforts. Our team is ready to inform and inspire potential Emirati engineers, technicians and craftsmen about the exciting career opportunities open to them at EMAL.”

The aluminium smelter, located at Taweelah, is a state-of-the-art facility which is producing 750,000 tonnes of highly quality, reliable aluminium for 82 customers in 19 countries in 2011, an output which will double when phase two of the smelter goes operational. Qualified individuals in the fields of mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering and maintenance are needed for the highly skilled technical work undertaken by EMAL.

Providing employment for Emiratis is a strategic objective for the UAE’s biggest non-oil and gas industrial diversification project and a central feature of the UAE’s 2030 vision. Al Mazrooei added: “Career fairs are one of the main avenues for recruiting Emiratis.  EMAL has recruited 120 Emiratis in the past two years through such fairs and we want to extend this record of success.”

Careers UAE follows the successful employment drive in January at Tawdheef 2011 in Abu Dhabi, with EMAL responding to most applicants with their application status within two weeks. Careers UAE will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 21 to 23 March 2011. The EMAL stand S2A-2 can be found in Hall SS3.
