22 Films to Compete in National Fest for Egyptian Cinema

22 feature films will participate in the 8th National Festival for Egyptian Cinema to be opened at the beginning of April at Cairo Opera House. 

The films which will compete in the formal contest including: Ashab Walla Business (Friends or Business) starring Mustafa Amar and Hani Salama, 55 Isaaf (55 Ambulance) starring Ghada Adel and Ahmed Helmi, Africano starring Ahmed al Saqqa and Muna Zaki, Gawaz Biqarar Gomhuri (Marriage by Presidential Decree) starring Hani Ramzi and Hanan Tork, Asrar al Banat (Girls Secrets) starring Maya Shiha and Ezzat Abu Ouf, al Naama wal Taous (Ostrich and Peacock) starring Lebleba and Mustafa Shaaban, Rasha Garia starring Ashraf Abdel Baqi and Yasmin Abdel Aziz, Sukout Hansawar (Quite, We Will Shoot) starring Latifa and Ahmed Bedeir, al Saher (Magician) starring Mahmoud Abdel Aziz and Salwa Khattab, Ayyam al Sadat (Sadat Days) starring Ahmed Zaki and Muwaten Mukhber Wa Harami (Citizen, Detective and Thief) starring Khaled Abul Naga and Salah Abdullah. 

The manager of the festival Enaam Abdel Halim told the press that only 5 directors will compete in the contest: Ali Edris, Magdi al Huwari, Amr Arafa, Ashraf Fayeq and Khaled Yousef.  

Ali Abu Shadi, the head of the festival announced that the Egyptian Minister of Culture Farouq Husni will inaugurate the event – Albawaba.com
