Egyptian actor Ahmad Izz El Din will star the new thriller “45 Days,” for which filming began earlier this month in Cairo.
Ahmad plays a young man who lives with his wealthy parents and little sister, and suddenly without prior notice his parents are murdered. The accident causes Ahmad to have a nervous breakdown and he is admitted into a mental hospital for immediate treatment. His doctor decides to keep him for 45 days to carefully supervise his condition to see if he is mentally ill, or if he is in fact the killer who murdered his own parents.
The fate of Ahmad lies in the hands of his doctor who will decide if he will be permanently confined to a mental hospital, or if he will face the death penalty.
“45 Days” features a number of prominent actors like Ghada Abdul Rizik, Izzat Abu Ouf, Hisham Salim, and Khaled Abu Al Najja. The film is produced by Is’aad Younis, and Egyptian actress Hannan Turk makes a special guest appearance.
The film is written by Mohammad Hafthy, and directed by Ahmad Yusri, his first direction experience.
Ahmad said that the role requires special preparations, particularly for his body language. He welcomes the opportunity to star in a drama, he added. He is hoping this film will boost his career, especially after his last film “The Seventh Sense” was not as successful as he had hoped.
Ahmad’s family made it a point to encourage and support their son by attending the film’s launching ceremony.
Sharif Jameel, media organizer for the ‘Arab Production Company’ made great efforts to make all the necessary information available to journalists regarding the movie.
Ahmad denied the existence of disputes between him and producer Wael Abdullah, stating that the contract between them ended and now he is pleased to be affiliated with the ‘Arab Production Company.’
Ahmad has been accused by Egyptian interior designer Hind Hinawi of being the biological father of her newborn daughter.
Ahmad refused to undergo a DNA test to prove if he is the father of Hind’s baby, but has admitted that he had an intimate relationship with her. The case will be settled in court.
