Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Sakka stated that Islamists parties in Egypt are not monsters and fear of them obtaining political power in Egypt is overly exaggerated and not justified.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Ahmad stressed that Islamists parties in Egypt are ordinary Egyptian citizens and if they came into power they will work to better conditions in the country. He added if they fail they will be ousted by the people as was the case of the former government of President Husni Mubarak.
Ahmad said that the subject of the Islamists winning the Parliamentary Elections has been overstated in the media and the people of Egypt should accept the choice of the majority whether it is voting for and Islamists party or any other. He added that everyone should be given a fair chance to win and that is the essence of democracy.
Ahmad expressed his irritation at some media sources that are making a mockery of Islamists parties and people should respect every party running for elections and judge them based on the outcome of their agenda not their religious beliefs.
