The new trend of destroying posters of popular stars from the entertainment world is spreading very fast in Egypt adding new victims to the list like Lebanese singers Nawal Al Zoughbi and Alissa. Some irresponsible people in Cairo were back to deform the pictures of famous singers and actors by using graffiti and attempt to be humorous.

Ruined posters of the two singers were first spotted in University Street in Giza where wrongdoers used black paint to deform the photographs. Such actions are causing enormous losses because they must all be replaced with new photographs that are not destroyed.

According to the London based Elaph, police have not been able to find out who is behind these actions, but attempts are being taken to catch those responsible.

The incident was not new trend, but the phenomenon had emerged couple of years ago and for some unknown reason faded away gradually then suddenly it reappeared this year. Recently red paint was used to draw tears on photographs of the late Tunisian singer Thikra in Al-Duqi neighborhood after she was killed by her husband. –Albawaba.com
